Blaaiz Appoints Oladunjoye Afolabi as Non-Executive Board Member

Blaaiz, a cross-border payments company operating in Africa, North America, and Europe, has appointed Oladunjoye Afolabi as a Non-Executive Board Member.

This appointment comes as Blaaiz expands into Kenya and Uganda and secures key licences in the U.S.A, Canada, and Nigeria. The company is also targeting new markets, including Ghana and the UAE. Afolabi’s role will focus on strategic finance, global expansion, and operational improvements, advising on cross-border payment infrastructure, risk management, and financial strategies.

Afolabi has over 18 years of experience in multinational corporations across technology, telecom, consulting, manufacturing, and shipping. He has held leadership positions at a global digital communications infrastructure firm, overseeing operations in West Africa, East Africa, and Europe. His expertise includes strategic financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and business transformation, having previously worked at Ernst & Young and KPMG.

Blaaiz CEO and Co-Founder Ifelade Ayodele said Afolabi’s experience in financial strategy and regulatory compliance aligns with the company’s goals for growth in emerging markets. Afolabi stated that he looks forward to contributing to Blaaiz’s expansion and improving cross-border payments.

With this appointment, Blaaiz continues to focus on expanding its financial services and strengthening its position in the global payments sector.
